One of the immediate things that intrigued me about the project was the title, “The Wedding Party”. It automatically threw me into a candy land of visuals, and I knew I had to be part of it.

Everyone knows how colourful, chaotic, hilarious, emotional and beautiful a NIGERIAN wedding is. The task of weaving a Rom-com story around these variables absolutely intrigued me.

We tried to keep true to what you would find in a typical Nigerian wedding: the colours, the people, the fashion, even the food.
I’m excited for people to meet the different personalities in the film. I don’t want to let the cat out the bag, bu the film is definitely star-studded. From RMD, to Sola Sobowale, Alibaba to Ireti Doyle, Banky W, Adesua Itomi, Beverly Naya, Emma Oh My God, Lepacious Bose.. I mean the list goes on and on.
“The Wedding Party is not trying to re-invent any new story lines, it more like one big party that you’ve been invited to – so come hang out with us for 100minutes.
But hold on to your hat… it’s going to be a bumpy, yet EXCITING ride.
